General membership meetings

TThere will be a general membership meeting of the Williamsburg Civic Association on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.  The meeting will be in the Multi-Purpose Room of Tuckahoe Elementary School (6550 26th Street North, Arlington, VA 22213).  The meeting will feature the following:

Executive Committee meetings

Executive Committee meetings are generally held three to four weeks prior to the general membership meetings (typically at Little Falls Presbyterian Church).

  • The annual pancake breakfast to celebrate Arlington’s Neighborhood Day
    • Saturday, May 10, 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Little Falls Presbyterian Church, 6025 Little Falls Road.
    •  This was a great opportunity to meet neighbors, enjoy some good food, help strengthen your local civic association, and join in commemorating Arlington’s most important annual event.
    •  The breakfast was organized by Ann Rudd and Mike Murtha.

    • Meeting highlights
      • Accessory Dwellings (ADs) in Arlington.  
        An accessory dwelling is defined as a second dwelling with kitchen and bath on a single family lot. It may be inside the main house or detached.  Arlington's Accessory Dwelling Subcommittee is recommending to the Housing Commission an amendment of the Zoning Ordinance to permit Accessory Dwellings.  Come here more about this topic.
