Mission
The Edith Maryon Foundation aims to promote and establish social housing and workplaces. These are intended to enable a meaningful integration of living and working. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may acquire land, properties, and real estate and construct buildings and housing developments itself. To ensure its social use, land is held permanently by the foundation; exceptions are defined in the foundation's regulations. The foundation develops instruments to facilitate access to the housing market for economically disadvantaged tenants. Furthermore, the foundation may develop, promote, or implement self-governance and participatory models. The foundation also aims to promote, in particular, cultural and educational activities that enrich society. To this end, it promotes and supports projects and institutions. The foundation board determines the priorities for funding and issues funding guidelines. The foundation may realize its purpose through its own projects or enable and support such projects through grants. The foundation may collaborate with, support, promote, participate in, merge with, or establish new organizations with similar objectives. The foundation's primary focus is in Switzerland. It also operates internationally.
