Mission
1) The Board of Trustees manages the foundation's assets appropriately and in accordance with the principles of sound and prudent business management.
2) The purpose of the foundation is to finance charitable, scientific, and educational projects:
a. for the preservation and protection of the environment and biodiversity, aimed at the realization of environmentally sound production or construction projects, whether commercial and/or agricultural. Projects of all kinds in the field of organic farming are also to be supported, with a particular focus on wine production;
b. for the promotion of the care and protection of animals by supporting cultural and educational projects and all kinds of conservation measures. Assistance is to be provided to individuals, organizations, and other professional institutions that focus on combating threats to animals worldwide;
c. for the protection and promotion of the physical and mental health of people, with particular attention to minors, the elderly, and people with disabilities, and related research by supporting public and private institutions, organizations and associations of physicians and scientists, other non-profit organizations, and research institutes in all medical fields;
d. the promotion of education worldwide through the establishment of schools, hostels, and orphanages, as well as the implementation of literacy courses and the awarding of school, university, and doctoral scholarships for every scientific field and every type of advanced study, in order to generally promote the educational level as well as the integration and employment of disadvantaged people;
e. humanitarian aid and charitable purposes for the benefit of disadvantaged and vulnerable children and/or elderly people worldwide through the organization of humanitarian missions and/or specific contributions to projects providing financial support to individuals and organizations;
f. the promotion and protection of human rights and the rule of law, with particular attention to women's right to education and equality;
g. the promotion and support of art in all its forms, including—but not limited to—music, visual, performing, and sculptural arts (paintings, sculptures, photography, crafts, architecture), as well as the revitalization and restoration of historical works and the use of new assistive technologies.
3) With regard to these purposes, the Foundation may promote and undertake the following activities, listed here as examples but not exhaustively:
a. the organization of conferences, exhibitions, courses, research projects, and scholarships in the fields of medicine, natural sciences, human rights, art, architecture, archaeology, music, and any other field related to the Foundation's general purpose;
b. The construction, maintenance, or restoration of schools, hospitals, shelters for the needy, orphanages, animal shelters, and historically, culturally, and/or architecturally significant buildings and monuments;
c. the acquisition of technical and/or medical equipment as well as professional instruments in the fields of art and music;
d. charitable activities aimed at combating poverty, such as food aid, financial assistance, and projects supporting health and recovery;
e. the publication of specialist publications.
