Mission
contribute to the safeguard of life and the alleviation of suffering while respecting dignity; provide care to people in precarious situations and strive to make them once again in control of their future; act in an independent, neutral and impartial manner, and use its resources in a manner proportional to the needs of populations in danger; medical action carried out in compliance with the rules of medical ethics, namely the duty to assist any person in danger, without discrimination, and respecting medical confidentiality; witnessing action to raise public awareness of the situation of populations in danger, with the ultimate possibility of openly denouncing breaches of international conventions; research and development work to improve or develop effective diagnostic or therapeutic means, as well as training activities to promote the improvement of local skills in medical and humanitarian care; the association endorses the principles of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (cf. statutes for complete purpose).
