Mission
The primary purpose of the foundation is to promote and support private individuals and institutions in the fields of elderly and infirm care and support, and to support individuals who are themselves elderly, infirm, or in need of care. The foundation's secondary purpose is to directly or indirectly support medical research (cancer or other widespread or dangerous diseases that are poorly researched or combated), the fight against epidemics, direct and indirect aid for needy or distressed mountain populations, plant and animal conservation, animal welfare, particularly with regard to species-appropriate animal husbandry, especially in the case of Mr. Erwin Kessler, and the support of artists. In pursuing its purpose, the foundation will, among other things, make grants to the following institutions and individuals: the Salvation Army Foundation Switzerland, institutions that care for battered and abused women, and the Tibetan Children's Village. The foundation may contribute to the maintenance of the building and garden of the Alfred Sutter Park, provided that the building and park are used as intended.
