Appenzellische Winkelriedstiftung

The Appenzellische Winkelried Foundation makes contributions in the field of defense, civil protection and social assistance. Political and cultural issues are not supported. However, matters related to the army or civil protection can still be supported in exceptional cases. The Appenzellische Winkelriedstiftung aims to: a) Provide direct financial support to active and former members of the army and civil protection who are in need; b) direct financial support for Swiss citizens in need and residing in the cantons of Appenzell I.Rh. or Appenzell A.Rh, especially in the absence of government support; c) Direct financial help to the next of kin, if the death or damage to health of the persons mentioned under a) and b) causes an emergency; d) the support of causes of charitable institutions, especially in the absence of government support; e) the provision of financial contributions to accompanying measures in connection with the support activity; f) Direct support for causes and efforts that support the value system of the military and civil protection; g) the promotion of military fitness, readiness for the military and the will to fight through direct contributions to natural or legal persons and military associations.
