Supports charitable, cultural, and non-profit private and public institutions, causes, enterprises, and associations, etc.
The primary purpose of the Oertli Foundation is to foster understanding between the four language regions of Switzerland. This goal is to be achieved by supporting diverse cultural exchange and personal encounters. With its grants, the Foundation supports projects that encourage such dialogue and enable a deeper understanding of different ways of life and thinking. The Oertli Foundation is also active in the social sector to a limited extent. Detailed information on funding priorities, exclusion criteria, and application procedures can be found here.

The Founder
The Walter and Ambrosina Oertli Foundation was established in 1967 by the Zurich industrialist Walter Oertli [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Oertli].
In January 2022, in accordance with the statutes, a panel consisting of three experts on Swiss literature was convened. The panel decided to focus on promoting Swiss literary criticism for a period of four years and to primarily select projects in this area.
