The foundation's purpose is to provide nursing, educational, and educational support to children, adolescents, and young adults with life-threatening or terminal illnesses, as well as to provide grief counseling and support for the affected families beyond death. It may engage suitable contractual partners to fulfill its purpose. The foundation may establish additional foundations or similar special-purpose assets in Switzerland and abroad, or participate in personal associations or corporations. It may enter into partnerships with individuals or organizations that complement or expand the foundation's activities or range of services. The foundation does not pursue commercial purposes and does not seek profit. It operates nationally (Switzerland) and internationally. It is politically and religiously neutral.
