The Swiss Booksellers and Publishers Association (SBVV) aims to represent the interests of its members and promote the ideal and economic interests of the German-language book trade in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, in particular: a) the promotion of orderly market conditions and competition within the industry, b) the representation of the interests of all members to authorities, organizations and other institutions in Switzerland and abroad, c) the promotion of relations among members, d) the support of industry-related public relations and the promotion of reading, e) the provision of services for members, f) the regulation of working conditions in agreement with the social partners, g) the promotion of professional training and further education, h) the publication of an association journal and other publications, i) the promotion of books in Switzerland and abroad (e.g. trade fairs).
