The foundation pursues exclusively charitable, non-commercial purposes and in particular the following: Promotion and improvement of the living and working conditions of the economically and socially disadvantaged people who are involved in the production process of raw materials for the manufacture of chocolate and confectionery products, namely cocoa farmers and their families . The support is provided to improve the economic, social and ecological conditions of the people mentioned; Support for non-profit organizations and institutions in the field of school training and further education as well as care and support for children and young people; Support for organizations and institutions in the field of family, upbringing, education and culture that carry out charitable projects; Furthermore, the foundation provides support to alleviate specific hardships of individuals/families in need (e.g. in the event of illness, accident, disability, death, unemployment, old age, homelessness, addiction, poverty and the like) or in favor of injured parties in connection with (natural ) Disasters, wars, epidemics/pandemics/plagues, famines or other extraordinary events. The Board of Trustees can set priorities and sub-goals in order and within the aforementioned purpose areas, depending on the development of the Foundation's assets and award planning. The support is provided through financial services (mainly) project-related to people, organizations and institutions or project sponsorships that are dedicated to the aforementioned areas of purpose. In the case of emergency support, support services can also be paid directly to affected (natural) persons. In principle, however, no grants are made upon application. The foundation does not provide any benefits to the founder and its shareholders, members of the board of directors or management. The foundation is active in Switzerland and abroad. The Foundation can acquire real estate, encumber it, sell it and participate in it. The founder expressly reserves the right to change the purpose according to Art. 86a ZGB.
