Initiative Schweiz Stiftung

The foundation aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship for the benefit of the Swiss economy and society, with the goal of strengthening Switzerland as a place to live and work. This is achieved in particular through the support of innovative ideas and projects in Switzerland and by recognizing outstanding achievements, including through the annual Prix Suisse award. The foundation is exclusively charitable and pursues neither profit nor self-help objectives. It also does not pursue any commercial purposes and does not seek to generate profit. The foundation's profits and capital are exclusively dedicated to the aforementioned purpose; the use of even a portion of the foundation's assets for any purpose other than achieving the foundation's objectives is prohibited. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may also acquire and manage real estate and intellectual property rights or participate in companies (in particular, the Initiative Schweiz AG). A merger or transfer of assets may only take place with a legal entity domiciled in Switzerland that is tax-exempt due to its charitable or public purpose.
