The purpose of the foundation is to cover the costs of a) education, training, and economic development in the broadest sense, and b) providing for and supporting members of specific families in times of need. The foundation may also make distributions outside the family circle to specific or identifiable natural or legal persons, institutions, and the like, primarily in the field of cultural promotion and research, or grant them other economic benefits. Within the scope of its asset management, the foundation is authorized to enter into all legal transactions that serve the pursuit and realization of its purpose. It does not operate a business in the manner of a commercial enterprise.
