The purpose of the foundation is to keep Hochparterre AG on a solid basis while maintaining the company's previous purpose, and to ensure the co-determination of Hochparterre AG employees and compliance with the principles as set out in Hochparterre AG's Contract Social. The foundation also intends to use the foundation's income for charitable purposes. The projects supported by the foundation should be committed to the goals of social and ecological sustainability to promote the common good. As part of its charitable status, the foundation aims as follows: The foundation initiates, promotes and supports projects throughout Switzerland that serve media and journalistic mediation and public discourse on architecture, landscape, building culture, design and planning. The Foundation can award scholarships for appropriate training to people who need financial support. The foundation promotes and supports projects abroad where free journalism is impeded or where there are not enough funds for free journalism. To this end, it awards scholarships for appropriate training and makes funds available to finance the necessary infrastructure. The foundation promotes and supports scientific research projects in the areas of 'climate-friendly construction' and 'socially innovative housing and lifestyles'. In the event of financial hardship for employees of Hochparterre AG, the foundation can grant loans or ä-fonds-perdu-subsidies.
