Mission
The purpose of the foundation is to create a meeting, education and documentation center on the subject of mountain habitats. It organizes encounters, training, conferences, exhibitions and courses on topics related to life in the mountains. The foundation creates selected documentation that provides an insight into the diverse subject matter of our mountain world. The foundation is committed to restoring, preserving and caring for near-natural cultural landscapes in mountain areas. The foundation can carry out other activities that are in the interest of the mountain habitat. In order to achieve this purpose, the foundation has concluded a long-term contract with the Benedictine monastery in Engelberg for the use of the Grafenort manor house. The foundation supports the Benedictine monastery in Engelberg in its efforts to preserve the manor house in the long term. In order to achieve its purpose and within the scope of its needs, the foundation can acquire property or real rights to such property. The Foundation can call in expert advisors and experts and appoint specialist commissions.
