Mission
With a focus on Central Switzerland, the foundation aims to promote non-profit organizations, works and projects in the social, charitable, humanitarian, cultural, scientific, medical, ecological, educational or other non-profit areas. The foundation is of a non-profit nature and does not pursue any profit-making or self-help purposes. The foundation pursues its purpose in particular by enabling earmarked funds that meet the requirements of the foundation, but at the same time ensure the necessary flexibility in setting priorities, specialized competence in management and at the same time the diversity of funding management. As an independent umbrella foundation, the foundation offers interested parties the opportunity to effectively implement their specific funding concerns according to the standards of cost-effective activity (dedicated funds). The establishment of such special-purpose funds requires that the funding request is covered by the purpose of the foundation, that the foundation board approves and issues corresponding fund regulations, which must be submitted to the foundation supervisory authority for review and pre-registration, and that the public and / or charitable purpose is recognized for tax purposes. The earmarked funds should be able to have their own governance, which, depending on the circumstances, can be determined by the Board of Trustees alone in the relevant fund regulations or in a binding agreement between the founder / donor of a special purpose fund and the foundation or by bindingly determined by the founder / donor and by Board of Trustees accepted regulations can happen. The founder expressly reserves the right, based on Art. 86a ZGB and in compliance with the statutory requirements, to expand the purpose of the foundation, subject to the approval of the tax administration with regard to the tax exemption.
