The foundation's purpose is to promote cardiovascular research and all projects directly or indirectly related to it, primarily in the canton of Basel-Stadt. It also aims to provide training and continuing education for cardiologists and to promote measures to improve patient management. The foundation does not pursue any commercial purposes. The foundation can also establish other foundations within the framework of its own purpose or partial purpose. The foundation does not make any payments for global costs (so-called overhead).
