Promoting the social welfare of the population of Grenchen. In particular, it enables the education and training of children, young people, and adults residing in Grenchen. To achieve this purpose, the foundation provides contributions or scholarships towards the costs of attending secondary and higher education institutions, continuing education and vocational schools of all kinds, apprenticeships of any kind, as well as contributions towards attending special training courses, stays abroad for learning foreign languages, and vocational training in specific subjects. It may also contribute to hospital and spa stays and holidays for sick and frail students and disabled persons, grant production grants and contributions towards artist residencies to young artists, and provide funding for research projects at schools located in Grenchen. Provided that the annual income after disbursement of the contributions according to paragraph 2 above permits, contributions may be made to organizations active in youth work.
