Karl Schlecht Stiftung

The Karl Schlecht Foundation (KSG) is a non-profit foundation focused on "Good Leadership." Its guiding principle is the improvement of leadership in business and society through humanistic values. Against this backdrop, it supports projects for the personal development of young people and aspiring leaders in the areas of ethics, leadership, entrepreneurship, culture, and technology. It funds approximately 80 external projects as well as its own projects with around €8 million annually.

The Karl Schlecht Foundation, headquartered in Aichtal with an office in Berlin, was founded in 1998 by Karl Schlecht, a graduate engineer. The founder is the founder of the concrete pump manufacturer Putzmeister. In 2023, the foundation was awarded the title of "Science Foundation of the Year."

The Karl Schlecht Foundation may only support officially recognized non-profit and public-law entities based in Germany (e.g., universities, non-profit associations, NGOs). This excludes charitable or religious projects. Profit-oriented organizations are also ineligible for funding.

Organizations based abroad can only receive funding in exceptional cases and if they meet all the requirements of German non-profit law. This requires a thorough legal review. We recommend contacting us before submitting an application to determine whether your desired funding for a project abroad is legally permissible. If an organization based in Germany wishes to apply for funding for a project abroad, this is generally possible. Individuals are only supported indirectly through third-party scholarship programs.
