The promotion of applied research of new treatments in oncology. The foundation is authorized to take all suitable provisions to promote the purposes for which it was established. The foundation's field of activity can also be extended internationally, while concentrating in principle in Switzerland, and here giving priority to the reality of the foundation's canton and research carried out in private institutes. The Board of Trustees must - in principle - ensure that at least 75% of the annual donations are intended for use on Swiss territory, of which a predominant part in the canton of the foundation's seat. Exceptionally, exceptions are allowed in favor of special projects abroad, subject to authorization by the Supervisory Authority and the Tax Division, provided that the share in favor of the canton of headquarters remains intact. The duration of the Lake Maggiore Oncology Foundation is not limited in time. The foundation will begin its activity as soon as it is registered in the commercial register.
