Mission
The foundation pursues exclusively charitable and philanthropic purposes for the benefit of individuals in need of material, psychological, or health-related support, as well as for the benefit of non-profit organizations. The foundation operates in Switzerland and abroad. The foundation can be active in the following areas in particular: Humanitarian aid: The foundation can provide humanitarian aid in various regions worldwide, possibly in cooperation with governmental and non-governmental organizations, and support people suffering from hunger, natural disasters, armed conflict, or persecution and improve their living conditions. The foundation can also support projects that aim to combat the causes of such humanitarian emergencies. Health: The foundation can support all kinds of projects to protect people's physical and mental health, to support scientific research in the health field, and to improve healthcare in general and access to healthcare. Education: The Foundation can support educational projects worldwide to enable education at primary and secondary levels, as well as in vocational schools and universities, for example, by organizing classes, training and research programs, and by promoting cooperation between Swiss and foreign universities, as well as continuing education programs that enable lifelong learning at the highest level. Environmental protection: The Foundation can support projects worldwide to protect nature, flora, and fauna. Furthermore, the Foundation can promote research in the field of new and environmentally friendly energy, as well as the improvement and dissemination of such technologies. Scientific research: The Foundation can promote scientific research at the national and international levels. Children: The Foundation can support projects to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged children and young people around the world. Sports: The Foundation can support charitable projects in the field of sports and promote sporting activities. Culture: The Foundation can support public or private cultural organizations and cultural projects, as well as promote the creation and dissemination of artistic or scientific works of cultural or social value. To achieve these goals, the Foundation may, among other things: coordinate, manage, and finance projects in Switzerland or abroad that correspond to the Foundation's charitable purpose; enter into partnerships with public or private institutions and private individuals; and provide support to public or private institutions or private individuals. The Foundation may operate in these areas independently or with other institutions that are also tax-exempt due to the same or similar purposes.
