Since it was founded 90 years ago, the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Austria has remained true to its primary obligation: the full-time and voluntary employees of the non-profit organization provide help from person to person for the elderly, the sick, the injured and those in need - regardless of their ethnicity, religion and worldview.

The area of responsibility of the Samaritan Association has expanded enormously in recent years - from traditional rescue and patient transport to health and social services such as care, care for asylum seekers and the homeless, as well as development cooperation, disaster relief and youth work.
